Damon's Ride

Today I began to teach Damon how to ride his bike without his training wheels or "handlebars" as he likes to say. He did very well! I was very impressed with his ambition and lack of hesitation to try something new. We didn't even really have much of a discussion about it. Our conversation went something like this. "Hey Damon, do you want to take your training wheels off your bike so you can learn to ride like a big boy?" "Yeah mommy, I'll get my helmet." And off he went. Tyler "Unc" (my brother, Damon's uncle) was wonderful for helping Damon while I got some action shots. After about 10 tries Damon was ready for a "break" and headed inside for a quick victory dance. I only choreographed part of this dance and the rest was his own freestyle. This has quickly become his new favorite song and dance. What can I say, the boy has some moves!
