Later that night Damon and I went to my friends house for her annual pumpkin carving party. My friend has a daughter exactly one month older than Damon. They had played together once before and got along famously so they were looking forward to playing together again. Damon insisted on wearing his Spiderman costume to the party and sure enough when we got there Riley had to put her Spiderman costume on as well. At times the party seemed like it was more for the adults as we carved our pumpkins and made our Halloween koozies while the kids played inside. The food and drinks were great and at the end of the night we all went outside for the lighting of the pumpkins. Can you guess which one is mine and which one is Damon's? Hint: I gave everyone a hard time for "cheating" as they used their stencils while ours was free hand-old school style. "Time to go" was the hardest phrase that night for both Riley and Damon. They really enjoyed each others company and they were very sad when it had to end. I ensured both kids that we will get together for more play dates and as I said it I was thinking " Oh no, here come the girlfriends...".

Lake Fun and Pumpkin Carving!
Yesterday I took Damon to Queens Landing in Mooresville, a place I often forget about. It was a beautiful day to be there. We fed the BIG fish, walked on the docks and enjoyed the lake scenery. Damon saw the big charter boats and got very excited. He wants to ride one oh so bad. Hmmm...maybe that will be our next date, eating lunch on the Catawba Queen Boat while cruising Lake Norman.
