After about 40 minutes of trick or treating, the kids got tired and requested a ride in the Halloween wagon where they were pulled the rest of the way around the neighborhood as they snuggled close to keep warm.
Their night was topped off by meeting the "real" Batman. The kids were so excited. Damon ran up to him and said "Excuse me Batman, may I take a picture with you?" Batman was honored and bent down for a picture with two of his biggest fans. That was all they could talk about the remainder of the night.
Damon and Riley were so cute together tonight. At some point Riley had mentioned that her candy bag was getting too heavy for her to carry so Damon offered to carry it for her. So this was their routine: Damon would carry both his and Riley's bag and when they would go to a door he would give Riley's bag back to her so she could get candy and then when she got her candy he would carry her bag again to the next door. It was the sweetest thing. The below video was an attempt on my part to get this gentleman in action. Notice Riley starts off with the bag in her hand and she sets it down to get the candy then Damon picks it up and listen to what he says.
What a sweetheart. I must have done something right...
After about an hour of going from house to house we decide to go back to The Tanners and let the kids play for a bit longer. The adults got to raid the candy bags and the kids played quietly with each other. It was a successful night!
