Damon has always been a musical child dancing, singing, playing instruments, beat boxing etc. I would like to take credit for that as our life together has been one big musical. We sing in the morning, during the day, and at night. We both dance to the rhythm of our own beat and let me tell you Damon doesn't miss a beat!
Damon has never really been interested in the kids music-you know ring around the rosie, old McDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider etc. He and I listen to random music depending on the mood we are in.
He amazes me with how quickly he can pick up the words to songs like Pinks "Sober", Queens "We will rock you", Billy Joel's "My life", Flo Rida's "In the Ayer" and his most recent one All American Rejects "Gives You Hell". Tonight at dinner while I was clearing the table Damon busted out with: "When you look at my face hope it gives you hell, hope it gives yooouuu hellll." That is not exactly the words but he was very close and he had the tune and rhythm down. It was pretty awesome.
The funny thing is he has only heard that song once or twice because it has only played on the radio, it's not something I have on a cd and play for him over and over. I don't necessarily like the fact that he says hell but you know what, I don't have a problem with him using inappropriate words so I feel like it is okay for him to sing it in a song...on the occasion.
